Since a few years I draw and paint women faces only. I never get bored, as a face is so interesting in all its facets. The posture, the form of her mouth, but most of all the look in her eyes. The feeling you can read from them, which is of course just a guess... as somebody else might feel her different. Sometimes dreamy, hoping, or maybe disappointed, proud or even a bit arrogant... but always in a quite way, in peace, a woman who keeps her feelings for herself. It's fascinating to catch that emotion with colour and structure. Therefore I like to try out new colour combinations and techniques.

So far, I mostly painted with acrilic, sometimes aquarelle, and lately I've been using oil. At times I do integrate pastels or charcoal as well to start with or to finish up. Each Medium has his own charachter, his advantages or ways to work the layers, which makes it even more challenging. Also it's great to paint on different underground (paper, canvas, wood..) which provides again a new dimention.
